Comments: I have nothing but the highest regard and admiration for the skill and bravery of the SF and Montagnards with whom I worked.

Welcome Home!

If you worked w/SF: As a member of the 183rd Reconnaissance Company (headquartered on the coast at Dong Ba Thin) I was a "SPAF" (Sneaky Pete Air Force) pilot flying O-1's, providing radio relay and insertion/extraction support from Jan-May '68. As I've said many times since that experience, I always breathed a sigh of relief when I flew back into Viet Nam! "Commuted" by helicopter to Dak To to fly missions while the Kontum airfield was considered "insecure." The remainder of my tour was like a vacation compared to my time at FOBII.
