James H. "Sandy" Sanders
SFC, Ret

My name Is James E.Sanders and am the son of SFC James H. "Sandy"
Sanders. Dad was SF for 16 years and did numerous tours, one of which
was with Ed Sprague and "Wardaddy" on at least 1 A-Team. Dad passed
away in 1990 in Tampa, Fl. We buried himin his Class A's and beret. I
believe my Father pulled 4 tours in VN. I did 2 tours with the First
Cavalry as door scout gunner. Dad retired in Fab. 1968 and I joined in
June 1968 to carry on with our family's military tradition.

I am seeking any or all info. that can be provided to me about my Father
and his service. As I, my Father never spoke of his VN duty, so I am in
the dark about his service to his country. I have only one photo of an
A-Team that he was on while in VN. I believe it was A-226 but am not
sure. I have enclosed the photo for your inspection and insight.
Please help me to recreate my Father's footsteps in the land of the
"Little People". Who knows, I may have fought and been shot down on the
very land he fought upon years before I. Thank-you in advance.
