In 1967 I was in the 5th SFG in Vietnam. I was a sgt on a A-223 Van Canh serving as a jr medic 91b4s with the recon platoon of CIDG montangards. Our job was tomaintain our camp in a free fire zone and conduct search and distroy missions in the central highlands. That was one of the most memorable years of my life.
