I was attached to the 5th SF from May, 1970 to May 1971. I spent the majority of my time (10 mo.) at Det. B-43, Chi Lang. I was one of the intelligence NCO's assigned there. I also spent a month or so in Bien Hoa, after Can Tho closed down. I was involved in the usual CIDG border control operations and the beginning stages of Chi Lang's conversion to a FANK training facility.
