I served with det. 725 in 1964. I was Heavy Weapons and O'Connor was Light in Gia Vuc Viet-nam, 1966

-I was at Tra Bong due east of Quain Nai (SF weapons)1967. Minh Long 1967 SF, and 1968 Dong Xoai Sf during Tet of 68, this is where Captain Williams earned his Medal of Honor a year earlier.

I went through pre-mission in 1963. Capt. M. Applin was our team leader, John Elam medic, Henry Goodwin Team Sgt, Ed. Passmore Medic and others, We departed Ft. Bragg, NC 1964 in civilian clothes to Chicago-Alaska-Japan-Okanawa-Siagon and to Pleiku "B" Det. location. We went to Gia Vuc 725, Captain Donland's Team 727 went to Nam Dong/ms. where he earned his Medal of Honor. A friend of mine and team Sergeant, G. Alamo was killed along with a medic who came to the team because he could play pinoucle (Type of cards). Ed came to us because he could not. Last I heard Ed and John Elam were in the TN mountains. Ed practing medicine. Any one in SF from that period please contact me!

4 trips to Viet-Nam, 1 Domilican Republic, 1 Bad Tolz, Germany. I am a Retired Army Officer however my first 13 years were enlisted. My first 3 trips to Viet-Nam with SF. and Dominican Republic were Enlisted. My tour at Bad Tolz and last trip to VN were Comissioned. I retired July 31, 1980 from the Army and 1996 from the Nuclear Ind.

I need to communicate with an individual who was equally familiar with the Cage, King and Kennedy. Also Quick Draw "Brown".
I definate want to talk to any one that was in Viet-Nam SF. May 1964-Nov. 1964, March 1966-May !967, Nov 1967-March 1968. or any one that was with 1st 50th Inf. Meck 1970 Phan Thet, or 1st 22 Inf. Tou-Hoa 11971.

I have been out of action since May of 2001. I am back. In fact some of my old SF buddies accused me of being MIA. (smile) I am the Willie Hunter that was at Gia Vuc, TDY Det. "A" 725 May--Nov. 64, Tra Bong - April -Nov. 1966 and moved to Min-Long Dec. 66-May 1967,Don Xoia Dec. 67-April 68, May 68 I retun to the States to attend OCS.Graduated in Nov. 68 and was Assinged to "A" Det. ODA 10, 10 Special Forces Bad Tolz, Germany, as XO. I was back in Vietnam 1970 as XO of "C" Company 1/50th Inf. Mec. Phan Thet Vietnam, when the 1/50th stood down Dec. 1970 I took over "D" Company 1/22nd Inf. Tua Hoai.

My services numbers were: 1958-1968 RA 14599012, 1968-1972 O5357641, 1972-1980 427 68 3881.
