During 1970 I was an 05B4S in Co. A, 5th SFGA Bien Hoa communications section, then went to A-334 Ton Le Chon for about three months, then at B-33 Hon Quan/An Loc until it closed in November.

Three other radio operators in my O5B4S class were KIA in SOG: Gary Harned, John Premeko, and George Green. Another, last name Rudolph, was shot up. John Cali, R.A. Smith, Richard Mulchek and I visited him in the evacuation hospital at Long Binh. Rudolph stayed in-country and went back to the States on the same airplane with me and several other radio operators. Rudolph and I had the great opportunity to have a choice of which company we were assigned to in RVN.
