Assigned HQ, USARV, Long Binh in October1967. Extended tour 6 months in order to transfer to HHC, 5th SFG , and Public Information Office in acting MOS 71J2P, June (July?) 1968-June 1969. Reporter/photographer for Green Beret magazine and general release. Completed jump school (special quarterly round-eye class) at the VNSF Training Center, Dong Ba Thin, February 1968.

Visited, went on operations with, wrote stories on (that I can remember) Ka Tum, Plei Mrong, Du Co, Bu Dop, C-3 CSF rehabilitation center (Vung Tau?), 2d MSF (Pleiku), 3rd MSF (Ban Me Thuot), Nui Coto (4th MSF (Can Tho) and 5th MSF (Nha Trang)), Phu Quoc Is. (5th MSF). Also interviewed Maj. James "Nick" Rowe on New Year's Day 1969 in the hospital at Bien Hoa (Long Binh?), the day after he escaped from 5 years as a Viet Cong captive.
