Like a lot of SF guys, I spent multiple tours with the 5th during the war, and was assigned to a number of sometimes strange positions. I began as the XO, then the CO of A-104 at Ha Thanh (Son Ha) in late 1965 and stayed in that camp (I'm told) longer than any other officer on any A-Team - to that point in the war - 8 (+) months. The I moved to the C-Team, then to the SFOB in Nha Trang, then later to the C-Team in Can Tho, then back to I-Corps. All of this between late 1965 and December 1969.
