because the guy assigned there bugged out. I guess it was too hairy for him. Anyway they sent me there to moniter the NVA invasion of the Province.
The NVA was pushing down from the North with The Mnong trying to escape just a few kilometers in front. The photo was taken just as I came across them. What the Mnong didn't know was that directly to their front was a very big minefield. We were able to stop their movement and walk the elephant through the minefield. The Yards finaly passed though to safety.
Not long after that, ARVN pushed the NVA back and I returned to Phu Bon Province.
