Detachment A-414 1st SFGA A-414, commanded by Capt Pearce, was located at A Ro, Quang Nam Province, I CTZ during the period 7 August 1964 thru 2 February 1965. A-414's primary mission was the surveillance of the Vietnam-Laotian border. They were assigned a secondary mission of pacification of the assigned area of operations.
