Detachment A-313, 1st SFGA

A-313, commanded by Capt R. Mendoza, was located at Plei Me, Pleiku Province, II CTZ, during the period 6 November 1964 thru 30 April 1965. The Primary mission of A-313 was to conduct border surveillance operations al the Vietnam-Laotian border. One unusual aspect of this operation was organization of a Montagnard Scout, platoon which proved invaluable in gathering of intelligence. **
