A-323, 1st SFGA

A-323, commanded by Capt C. Allen, was located at Khe Shan, Quang Tri Province, I CTZ, during the period 27 October 1964- 23 April 1965. A-323's mission was to conduct border surveillance operations along the Vietnam-Laotian border, gathering information on North Vietnamese troop movements. In addition to the border surveillance mission, the Detachment also acted as a Sector Advisor Team for the military: Assistance Command, Vietnam (MACV).**
