The camp was built from scratch on former Saigon University property by ODA 413 from the 1st SF Gp in Okinawa in July of 1964 with the mision of providing a reaction force for teams under the control of the B Team located in Saigon. Long range patrolling,parachute training,air-boat training and ambushes were stressed. First team leader was Captain DON G GUZMAN, first team sergeant was MSG RONALD "RAT" THOMAS*
