Bu Dop and Bu Gia Map were manned by split A-341. A-341B at BGM was
pulled back into Bu Dop just prior to an attack during Jul 65. It was
reopened as A-344 in Apr 67 by men from A-341, 342 at Dong Xoai and
343 at Duc Phong. I believe it stayed open until sometime in 69-70 when
it was turned over to the VN 36th Ranger Bn. (Info from Jim Meade)

Detachment-A-223, 1st SFGA
A-223, commanded by Capt Sutton, was located at Bu Gia
Map, Phouc Long Province, III CTZ, during the period 11 September
1964 thru 10 March 1965. A-223 was initially given the mission
of surveillance of the Vietnam-Laotian border, however, in November,
this mission was changed to interdiction of known or suspected
VC infiltration routes. This mission was effectively carried out
by means of long range patrols. Through initially hampered by
a lack of intelligence, the Detachment assisted the LLDB in establishing
an effective intelligence net. The highlight of the detachment's
tour was a company size patrol commanded by the Executrive Officer,
Lt Overcash, which, acting on reliable intelligence, destroyed
a Viet Cong Hospital and rest area along the Cambodian border
along with quantities of medical supplies and clothing. ***
