A-424 1st SFGA

A-424, commanded by Capt R. Allen, was located at two different camps. From 11 October 1964 to 15 January 1965, the Detachment was located at Long Khot, Kien Tuong Province, IV CTZ, while the new camp was being built. In January, the Detachment moved to Binh Than Thon, in the same province. A-424's mission was that of border surveillance and pacification of its assigned area of operations. The Detachment returned to Okinawa on 2 April 1965.*
