"An excellent book for your list is War Stories by Jim Morris. It was published in 1979 but is back in print and available at Barnes and Noble.
It is an excellent acount of events from 1966 through 1968.
I was amazed how accurate it was. I recognized almost every place he discussed and could relate to almost all his experiences. His discriptions of the yards, the SVSF, etc are on target
